Betul: Additional District and Sessions Judge Mahendra Kumar Tripathi of Betul district of Madhya Pradesh and his son Abhiyanraj Monu died on Sunday due to food poisoning. According to police sources, ADJ Mahendra Kumar Tripathi (50) died at the Alixis Hospital in Nagpur on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment, while his son Abhiyan Raj (25) died while on his way to Nagpur.

Additional Superintendent of Police Shraddha Joshi said that after food poisoning, the father and son were admitted to the Padhar Hospital for treatment on July 23, where they were referred to Nagpur when the situation deteriorated. The condition of the son of ADJ was very critical and he died before reaching the hospital. According to the ASP, after the food that the father-son and the family ate on the night of July 20, their health deteriorated. The police suspect that the food poisoning caused by the roti eaten by the judge's family. The judge and his two sons ate the loaves. While the wife ate rice instead of bread. For this reason, she did not become a victim of poisoning. At the same time, a son's health improved.

Giving information, the ASP has told that the police will take a sample of the flour kept in the house in this case and the family will also be sent for investigation. Post mortem of the dead bodies of both father and son is being done in Nagpur itself. Their nails and hair have been asked to be preserved. The management of the Padhar Hospital says that on July 23, the father-son was brought to the hospital in a critical condition.
