Khandwa: Soap made from mango, papaya, cucumber, watermelon, tomato, coffee, and Darjeeling tea leaves, you must not have seen or heard of it anywhere. But women in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh are making eco-friendly soaps with more than 20 such flavors. The price of this one soap is up to Rs.350. The great thing is that there is an order from the US for their soap.

In fact, Rekhabai Barade, Tarabai Bhaskale, and Kali Bai Kailash, a woman from Udaipur, a typical tribal village in Pandhana assembly constituency, started the work in a small room in the village three years ago. She would cut soybean in the fields all day and train her to prepare soap with goat's milk and other herbs at night. Tried to make soap many times, but success was far from over. It is different to listen to your loved ones from above, but they did not give up and succeeded in making soap a year later.

He then started work on a plan to make soap from goat's milk and Ayurvedic items. But there was no success. After that, many times the products failed and that laid the foundation for success. Recalling the days of the struggle, Rekhabai says that initially, everyone laughed at her a lot. The family members also did not support him. So the three of us used to cut soybean in the fields during the day and learn to make soap at night. Work is underway and today the soaps made by them are being sold in the metro cities of the country. The price of one of the soaps made is from Rs.250 to Rs.350.
