Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Election Commission has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which will unfold in 7 phases across the nation. In Madhya Pradesh, polling will be conducted in 4 phases, spanning from April 19 to May 13. The election results will be announced on June 4.

The state of Madhya Pradesh, with its 29 parliamentary constituencies, will witness a staggered voting process. The first phase on April 19 will encompass 6 seats including Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, and Chhindwara. Subsequently, on April 26, voting will be conducted in Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Hoshangabad, and Betul.

Moving forward, the third phase on May 7 will see polling in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, and Bhopal. Finally, on May 13, the fourth phase will cover Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone, and Khandwa.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) clinched victory in 28 out of the 29 seats, with Congress securing only the Chhindwara constituency. The BJP garnered 58% of the votes, while Congress and BSP trailed with 34.50% and 2.38% votes respectively.

With the election dates announced, BJP has revealed its full list of 29 candidates, while Congress has disclosed the names of 10 candidates thus far.
