And the fourth phase of lockdown, which comes into effect from May 18, is going to be different this time. Except for infected areas, the scope of exemption will increase in other places. Traffic will remain restricted in infected areas. Strictness will continue here. The relaxation of starting most of the activities in the Green Zone can be given on the condition of taking precautions.

However, public transport in the Green Zone can be started in limited quantities. Private offices will also be allowed to open here with 30 percent staff. Normal activities will be conducted in non-infected areas in Orange Zone but public transport will be restricted. Malls, theatres, school-colleges and religious-social programs will be banned. In such places where there is a possibility of crowd gathering, Section 144 will be applicable. According to sources, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan held a meeting in the Ministry on the form of the fourth phase of lockdown based on the District Disaster Management Group, the feedback received by the ministers from the districts and the dialogue with the political party, religious leaders. In this, it was agreed to include the suggestion of collectors and public representatives to give relaxation to increase activities in areas other than the infected areas, in the recommendation sent by the state to the central government.

Home and Health Minister Dr Narottam Mishra has told that the representatives of the public have suggested that the infected area should be increased to create a buffer zone and activities there should be completely banned. Outside this, the exemption should be given to promote economic activities. All normal activities will be started in the green zone. Activities related to daily use will be started except in the infected areas of the orange zone. The nature of the lockdown in the state will depend on the guidelines received by the central government.
