Bhopal: The Shivraj Singh government of Madhya Pradesh is now considering opening a farmer canteen on the lines of army canteen in the state. These farmer canteens will be opened in A class mandis of the state. Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel has given information in this regard. He said that mandis with all facilities are being made.

Kamal Patel further said that the farmer sells his crop in the mandis and takes an empty trolley and goes to the mandi. But now all the good quality items from manure-seeds, household goods, petrol will be available in the mandis itself. The farmer will not have to wander from here to there for shopping. Shopping malls will be built in the mandis. Kamal Patel said that the middlemen who used to earn till now, will now go into the hands of the farmer. Till now middlemen have looted the country. The Congress has always supported the middlemen. Therefore, this is the position of Congress today. He informed that 25 petrol pumps will be opened in different mandis of the state.

Patel said that when the farmer comes to sell the crop in the mandis, he will be respected by planting sandalwood. At the same time, the Congress has targeted the BJP on the issue of farmer canteen. Former Congress MP Pratap Bhanu Sharma said that the BJP is afraid of the farmer movement. The BJP is confusing the farmers and catching them tingling. He said that BJP will not open any canteen. He also did not waive the debt. Did not forgive huge electricity bills. BJP is anti-farmer.
