We are talking about Bhima of Mahabharata. Yes, how can anyone forget this character of the show. So let us tell you about actor Praveen Kumar Sobti who plays Bhima, one of the five Pandavas. Praveen Kumar, born on 6 December 1947, used to be a brilliant athlete before appearing in Sobti serial. At the same time, he has been the number one player of Asia in the Hammer and Disc Throw.

Not only this, Praveen has also participated in the Olympics. But despite being the best player in the playground, he got recognition from the serial Mahabharata. He became famous by playing the character of Bhima in BR Chopra's serial Mahabharata. People started to know him as Praveen less and Bhima more. Along with this, during an interview, Praveen had told about his schedule before acting. With this, Praveen said- 'Not a single day when I am not up at 3 o'clock. There was no such thing as a gym in the village, nor had I seen such a thing till then. I used to train by taking the weight of the pieces of the mill that the mother used to grind at home. I used to train from dawn till 3 in the morning.

For your information, let us  tell you that it took three years to build a body and when those who saw me saw it, they could not recognize it. My body was made with a completely indigenous diet. 'When the headmaster saw Praveen's strength in school, he started sending him to the games. Along with this, Praveen won many competitions and was selected for the discus throw at the 1966 Commonwealth Games. Praveen won the silver medal in this sports competition held in Jamaica. At the same time in 1972, Praveen participated in the Olympics held in Munich city of Germany. His friend informed him about Bhima's character in Mahabharata. Apart from this, his friend told that BR Chopra is looking for a powerful boy for the role of Bhima and wants to meet Praveen. At the same time, Praveen met BR Chopra and his selection was done. At the same time, the journey of Praveen Kumar Sobti's success has started. Apart from the Mahabharata, he has acted in Saab's role in Chacha Chaudhary and about 50 films.
