Mumbai: The Maharashtra government today called for a state-wide bandh to protest against the killing of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. In it, he said, "A bandh has been called to show that the state is with the farmers of the country.'' Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, on the other hand, said, "His party will participate in a bandh in Maharashtra on October 11 to protest against the killing of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh.''
