New Delhi: The political battle of Maharashtra has not stopped. On Monday, the Supreme Court heard a petition filed by the Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena, in which there was a demand to conduct a majority test in the Assembly. However, the court will now decide on Tuesday. On Monday, the two sides had a heated debate in the court and lawyers appearing for BJP-Ajit Pawar were told not to hurry in the floor test.

At the same time, it has also come to light that 14 days time was given by the Governor to prove his majority. Earlier there was a discussion in the political corridors that the floor test is to be held on 30 November. Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for Devendra Fadnavis, has appealed to the court that the assembly process should be followed for a majority test. He has demanded that the first pro tem speaker should be selected, then the oath of the MLAs, then the election of the speaker should be followed by the Governor's address and finally the floor test.

With this, Mukul Rohatgi also told the court that 14 days time was given to Devendra Fadnavis on behalf of the Governor to prove his majority. Let us tell you that till now there was a discussion that there could be a floor test on November 30, but now this thing was revealed for the first time. That is, according to this, the challenge was to prove the majority before Devendra Fadnavis by 7 December.
