Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has supported the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He says that citizenship law does not take away citizenship. He said that the National Citizenship Register (NRC) will not be applicable in Maharashtra. He said these things in an interview to Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. He has said that NRC will not be allowed to be implemented in Maharashtra. However, CM Thackeray, while keeping a soft attitude on the citizenship law, has said that this law does not take away the citizenship of any Indian citizen.
