Mumbai: Day by day corona cases are on the rise in Maharashtra. Even after an increasing number of cases, the congestion in the markets is not decreasing. CM Uddhav Thackeray has appealed to people to keep social distancing and wear masks, but still, people are not obeying this. They are not ready to listen to the repeated appeals. At present, people are not following up the rules of social distancing. This morning itself, a huge crowd was seen in Mumbai's Dadar market and many pictures from there are becoming increasingly viral. In the last 24 hours, 1962 new cases of the corona were found in Mumbai and the figures of the coronavirus in Mumbai are continuously increasing.

The pictures are showing a lot of congestion at 8 o'clock in the morning. At present, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government is expected to announce a lockdown in Mumbai and some parts of the state on Tuesday, March 16. Already the government has issued restrictions and partial lockdown in several districts of the state.

After consultation with deputy chiefs of the state's Covid-19 Task Force, Minister Ajit Pawar, Health Minister Rajesh Tope, and Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte, Uddhav Thackeray is likely to announce new norms for micro lockdown. Addressing a virtual meeting by the representatives of the Hotel and Restaurant Association on Saturday, March 12, Uddhav Thackeray had directed everyone to ensure strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocol in their premises and not to compel the state to implement stringent measures like lockdown.
