Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said during a meeting last Friday, "The growing crowd is a big challenge to stop the third wave of coronavirus infection.'' At the same time, he requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to formulate a comprehensive policy at the national level to prevent religious, social reasons as well as political events and movement swarms. In fact, last Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was interacting online with chief ministers of six states.

Meanwhile, Thackeray explained the concrete steps taken by Maharashtra to deal with the second wave of Covid and the plans to fight the third wave. "The number and mortality rate of patients in Maharashtra is declining, but it needs to be further reduced.'' At the same time, he said, "He is speeding up the vaccination of frontline workers and reducing the wastage of vaccines.'' He also thanked the Prime Minister for guiding the state from time to time on corona and said, "The second wave is not yet completely over. Though the number of patients is declining but has not completely ended.'' At the same time, he also assured that Maharashtra is ready to deal with the third wave of coronavirus, and measures are being taken to protect the industries.

In fact, in this meeting, Uddhav Thackeray said, "In the third wave of covid, the state will need about 4,000 tonnes of oxygen per day and 2,000 tonnes can be produced in the state.'' He also said that if the remaining 2,000 tonnes of oxygen is made available from neighboring states, it will be of great help. Let us also tell you that Maharashtra has not recovered properly from the second wave of corona infection so far, so CM's claim that Maharashtra is ready for the third wave looks hollow somewhere.
