The makers of the Maharshi have confirmed that the fifth single from the movie will be released on Monday (April 29, 2019) at 9:09 AM. The song, titled Pala Pitta, has been composed by 'Rockstar' Devi Sri Prasad has is touted to be a folk number. Pala Pitta's video will feature Mahesh Babu in a 'desi' avatar. This is perhaps the last single from the big-ticket entertainer.

Maharshi is Mahesh’s first collaboration with Vamsi Paidipally, who has films like Munna, Yevadu, AND Oopiri to his credit. The upcoming potboiler also stars Pooja Hegde, Meenakshi Dixit, Sonal Chauhan, Allari Naresh, Jagapathi Babu, and Rajendra Prasad among others.

Last week, Mahesh informed fans about the wrap-up of Maharshi and its release date via social media. He shared a picture of a cake, loaded with fruits, with the words '#Maharshi, It's a Wrap' written in chocolate, in the center. He captioned the post, "With this... It's a wrap!!! See you in the cinemas on May 9th  #Maharshi #MaharshionMay9th." 

The first look and teaser of the film were released on the birthday of the actor which received an exceptional response from the masses. The action-drama film will see him in the role of a college student. It was originally scheduled to release on April 25, but citing post-production delays, the makers of the film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, postponed its release.
