India Giant car Manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra is about to reveal its plans for electric vehicles in India. The company teased three EV concept cars, all of which look to be SUVs, ahead of presenting the EV plan.

Mahindra released a teaser film featuring the three vehicles, along with the message, "Welcome to a world of Born Electric vehicles that has been reimagined. Mahindra's team of global designers, engineers, and specialists have developed an electrifying presence and exhilarating performance for you. Mahindra is revealing its Born Electric Vision starting today. July 2022 will be here soon."

The teaser video, which has been uploaded on Mahindra's social media accounts, depicts all three automobiles in silhouette, with only their headlight and taillight units visible. There's also a strong hint of the design language, implying that Mahindra's electric vehicles would be distinct from current ICE versions.

Mahindra's forthcoming electric cars were unveiled as part of the company's Born Electric Vision, a new platform that would house the company's full EV lineup. Pratap Bose, who has been important in redesigning the style of current generation Tata Motors automobiles, is the guy behind these concept vehicles. Mahindra's electric vehicle designs will be developed at the company's new Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) lab in the United Kingdom.

The teaser video was released only one day after the carmaker said that it would disclose its electric vehicle ambitions for India in the coming days. It also announced that in the second half of next year, a completely electric version of its popular XUV300 SUV will be released.

Mahindra has announced a 3,000 crore investment in the development of electric vehicles. It also stated that it plans to convert up to four SUVs from its ICE lineup to electric vehicles in the future. While the XUV300 might be one of the four, the other three models shown in the teaser film are likely to be the XUV700, KUV100, Bolero, or Scorpio. However, complete details on the new electric vehicle ideas will be revealed in the coming days.
