A special song from Vidya Balan starrer drama movie 'Sherni' has been released. The lyrics of this song are 'Main Sherni'. Celebrating the stories of women's struggles, this special soundtrack has been voiced by singers Akasa and Raftaar. The track salutes the courage of these lionesses. 

The music video features Vidya Balan along with Mira Erda (F4 racer and driver coach), Natasha Noel (body positivity influenza r yoga trainer), Ishna Kutty (social media influenza and hula-hoop dancer) and Trinetra Haldar (one of Karnataka's first transgender doctors), Jayashree Mane (B. Y. A front line warrior of L Nair Hospital, Riddhi Arya (a student who distributes food in frontline warriors), Anita Devi (security guard), Seema Duggal (teacher), Archana Jadav (house help) are seen.

Women need not roar to become tigresses: According to media reports, the song 'Main Sherni' written by Raghav has been composed by Utkarsh Dhotekar. The song has been streaming on all music platforms - Amazon Prime Music, Spify, Gaana, Sawan, Wink etc. from June 15. Vidya Balan has to say about the song: "Music video 'Main Sherni' is our tribute to all women around the world who have an indomitable spirit that never gives up. Lionesses are special to all of us and with this film and music video, we are celebrating women who showed us that there is nothing a woman can do.”

Talking about her character in the movie, Vidya said that 'My character is like Vidya Vincent. We want to show that women are fearless and powerful and you don't have to roar to become tigresses. This is the feeling we have tried to capture in this song”.
