Dehradun: A major accident took place in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. A helicopter crashed in Kedarnath. Seven people, including the pilot, were killed in the crash. The accident took place at Garudchatti, 2 km from Kedarnath. Bad weather is believed to be one of the reasons for the helicopter crash. Uttarakhand CM's Special Principal Secretary Abhinav Kumar has confirmed the death of 7 persons, including the pilot, in the helicopter crash.

This helicopter belonged to the Aryan Company. The helicopter had taken off from Guptkashi to Kedarnath. There were 7 people in the helicopter, including the pilot. When this helicopter moved towards Kedarghati, it crashed in Garudchatti. The helicopter caught fire as it fell to the ground. All 7 people on board the helicopter died in the crash. The investigation revealed that the fog caused the accident. The helicopter first collided, after which it exploded. At the same time, an eyewitness from Kedarnath said that the rain was getting very fast here. The weather suddenly worsened in just 15 minutes. Then, our flight was also stopped. We have been told that a helicopter has crashed. The flights have been stopped for now. He said that there were only passengers in this helicopter.

The accident took place at a time when PM Narendra Modi will visit Kedarnath and Badrinath on October 21-22. Prime Minister Modi will visit Kedarnath on October 21. He will reach Kedarnath and inspect the ongoing development projects there. After visiting Baba Kedar, Prime Minister Modi will also visit Badrinath. PM Modi will stay there for the night after visiting Kedarnath on October 21. After this, he will visit Badrinath the next day i.e. on October 22.
