The government has taken several important steps to defeat the coronavirus in India. After which the public sector undertakings are also taking part. Government undertakings under the Ministry of Petroleum have announced a contribution of Rs 1031.29 crore to the PM Cares Fund. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan told, 'I am very happy that companies in the oil and gas sector have contributed Rs 1031.29 crore. While the employees working in the companies of this sector contributed Rs 61 crore. I am a part of this family, it is a matter of pride for me.'

For your information, let us tell you that the power sector PSU NTPC has dedicated step by step with the country in the fight against Kovid-19 and dedicated all its hospitals to the people suffering from this disease. NTPC has 45 small and large hospitals and health units. A separate isolation ward has also been made for Kovid-19 patients at all these medical centers. NTPC has also ordered a separate ventilator for its hospitals. Arrangements are being made to purchase a separate ventilator for some district administrations as well. The state-run NMDC has also announced assistance of Rs 150 crore.

Let us tell you that in the time of this disaster, even private companies are not behind in helping. TVS Motor has announced Rs 25 crore and L&T has announced Rs 150 crore in PM Cares Fund. L&T has also said to have a monthly fund of Rs 500 crore to help 1.60 lakh contract workers. Mankind Pharma has announced a total of Rs 51 crore in Chief Minister Relief Fund in various states. Big companies like Tata Group and Reliance Industries have also announced help.
