New Delhi: Amidst growing cases of COVID-19, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has urged people to wear masks as 'mass movement'. Chief Minister Kejriwal, who arrived at a government function on Friday morning, said, "Delhi has faced COVID-19 under the most difficult circumstances. In March, sick Indians from Italy, France and London arrived in Delhi by flights. Around 32 thousand people had spread to every corner of Delhi. People from all over India come to Delhi. The highest number of cases were on 23 June and the third wave has arrived. But I hope that the third wave will also end soon like the previous two."

The Chief Minister further said, "Mask is medicine to control COVID-19 unless medicine comes. Many people are wearing masks but under the nose or on the neck, the government keeps taxes. I understand that there is trouble in breathing but there is no other way to protect yourself. I urge the people of Delhi to wear masks as a mass movement."

Regarding pollution, Chief Minister Kejriwal said that due to stubble, so much pollution has increased. He said, "Delhi's air is clear from January to October 15. After that, the starch burns in the surrounding areas, then pollution comes to Delhi. The Pusa Institute has also devised a technique to convert the starch into compost. The government of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana will have no excuse. "
