Kolkata: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) National President Mamata Banerjee yesterday expressed unique opposition to the central government. In protest against the rising fuel prices, on Thursday, Mamata herself drove an electric scooty from Nabanna. When she left Scooty on her own from Nabanna, security personnel were also present with her.
CM Mamata Banerjee was having trouble running the scooty, but the police were seen assisting her. Later, however, with Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim, she has left for Scooty and reached her home in Kalighat. When she reached Harish Mukherjee Street, she again started driving Scooty. A crowd of people gathered to see her. People were seen taking pictures of their leader from a mobile phone. Mamata Banerjee was also seen greeting people. During this time, she survived several times from falling, but the security personnel took care of her.
CM Mamata had left from Electric Scooty from her residence in Kalighat at around 11 am today. She went from Hazra to Nabanna. State Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim was driving Scooty and Mamata was sitting behind him, but this time she was seen trying to run Scooty herself. Drones were also used on this occasion, so that safety could be taken care of.
