Mamata pays tribute to Swami Vivekanand on his birth anniversary

Kolkata: Many great men have been born in our country. One of them is Swami Vivekanand whose precious ideas give a lot of learning to human life. Swami Ji's thoughts fill the hope even in despair. Today is the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal also recalled him on the occasion.

Mamata Banerjee, in a post on her official Twitter handle, recalled Swami Vivekananda saying, "Remembering the great leader Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary. I bow to Swami Ji's teachings. His message of peace and universal brotherhood is extremely relevant today and inspires all of us to work hard to defend these ideals in our beloved nation."

Earlier, CM Mamta paid homage and inaugurated the fire stations at Outram Ghat in Babughat on the eve of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary. In the meantime, CM Banerjee said, "Swami Vivekananda was not a person. Such people are for everyone. Tomorrow is his birthday. Swami Ji used to carry all religions and deeds together. He was the first man to raise our heads in America with fakhr."
