New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has made a major allegation saying Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee is engaged in pleasing PM Narendra Modi and weakening the opposition. The Congress leader said, "Mamata Banerjee is directly touting Modi Ji. Chaudhary further said, "Mamata is doing everything to weaken the opposition as it is important for her to please PM Modi.''
Chaudhary alleged that Mamata Banerjee is doing all this to save her nephew Abhishek Banerjee who is facing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case. The Congress leader said, "She is doing this to protect her nephew and she knows that only PM Modi can save him (Abhishek). Chaudhary also responded to Mamata Banerjee's statement that she (Mamata) wanted to see the BJP lose across the country in the next general elections in 2024, just like the 2020 West Bengal assembly elections.
Earlier, Matta Banerjee hit out at the existence of the Congress party-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) saying, "There is no UPA". Since then, Congress leader Chaudhary has been attacking Mamata Banerjee on several occasions.
