Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) National President Mamata Banerjee has made a big statement about the announcement of assembly elections. CM Mamata Banerjee has said that in the coming seven to eight days the dates of elections in the state may be announced. It is considered a big statement by Mamata Banerjee, given the elections due in the state this year.

CM Mamata Banerjee also said that there is no place for corrupt people in the Trinamool Congress, those who want to leave the party can go now. She further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can buy some of its corrupt leaders, but cannot stop the dedicated Trinamool Congress workers. Before the elections, there is a stampede in Mamata's party and many TMC leaders are leaving the party.

Mamata Banerjee said that those who left Trinamool Congress will not win the election and their shops will be closed after the assembly elections. Taking a dig at Minister Rajiv Banerjee, who recently resigned from the Bengal cabinet, Mamata Banerjee said that she will investigate the discrepancies in the recruitment of 'Forest Assistant' in the Forest Department.
