Kolkata: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee will arrive in the national capital on a five-day visit to the national capital from August 3 tomorrow. During the visit, she is scheduled to meet PM Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. Along with this, she will also meet the leaders of opposition parties. Meanwhile, the big question is whether Mamata asks for time to meet Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi or not? If she asks for it, will Congress give time or not? There is a scuffle in Congress on this.

In fact, the Bengal CM will also meet leaders of other opposition parties during her visit to Delhi. However, all eyes are on her meeting with Sonia Gandhi. By fielding Yashwant Sinha as the candidate before the NDA in the presidential election, Mamata had pushed the Congress on the back foot. Mamata Banerjee, who led the opposition in the presidential election, had forced Congress to stand behind her. But, when Congress took the lead in the Vice-Presidential election, Mamata took a different route, which the Congress targeted and made many serious allegations.

In such a situation, there has been a discussion in the Congress that Mamata will also meet the Prime Minister regarding the ED's action in West Bengal. In such a situation, the PM can meet the President as well as Sonia to strike a political balance to avoid the target of her opponents in the state. That is why Congress sources have said that unless Mamata changes her political strategy and changes her attitude toward Congress, her meeting with Sonia will only be in her own political interest.
