Mamata Banerjee to visit Goa today, interact with TMC workers

Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal and the leader of the All India Trinamool Congress, will visit Goa on Friday and is anticipated to meet with party workers and the local fisherman community. Banerjee will first host a meeting with Goa TMC leaders at the International Centre in Dona Paula at 10:00 a.m. Following that, at 12:00 p.m. in Betim, the TMC National President will meet with the fisherman community. She will attend a press conference in Goa's International Centre at 1:00 p.m. following these events.

Shortly afterward, Banerjee will pay a visit to Mangueshi Temple in Priol, Ponda, at 3:30 p.m. She will also pay a visit to Shri Mahalsa Narayani Temple in Mardol, Ponda, at 4:00 p.m. Banerjee will also pay a visit to the Tapobhoomi Temple in Kundaim, Ponda, at 4:30 p.m. Mamata Banerjee will meet with civil society members at 05:45 pm in the International Centre Goa to round off the day.

According to a news statement issued by the party, 300 persons joined the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) on October 24 in three separate celebrations held in the Panaji, Navelim, and Sanguem areas of Goa.

The Goa Assembly has 40 members, of which the BJP now has 17 and is supported by legislators from the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), Goa Forward Party's Sardesai, and three independents. Both GFP and MGP have three MLAs.
