Mamata Banerjee hopes to make national impact, with an oath ceremony that Bengalis will remember for a long time. Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee will take oath on Friday as the next Chief Minister of West Bengal along with 41 party MLAs as ministers in the new cabinet in the state Assembly.

Among the 41 MLAs 17 of them are new faces.

And she'll have leaders from across the country and 35,000 people in attendance to help create an impact.

Banerjee on Thursday met state Governor KN Tripathi and submitted the list of MLAs who will take oath on Friday at the gala swearing-in ceremony to be held on prestigious Red Road.

"I have submitted the list to the honourable Governor. Along with me, altogether 42 of us will take oath tomorrow at the swearing-in ceremony. There has been representation from all districts, except Malda, caste, religion and creed. In Malda we don't have any representation. Out of the 42 there are a few new faces. The rest are the same," Banerjee said.

The event will be the biggest oath ceremony Bengal has ever seen. A stage the size of a tennis court, a huge air-conditioned VIP lounge to host VVIP guests, a green landscaped garden and a fountain right in front of the stage sets the backdrop for a grand event.

Banerjee has confirmed that Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Minister Babool Supriyo, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will attend the ceremony.
