KAUSHAMBHI:  In a horrific incident, a man  allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and fled with her money and jewellery.  the incident took place under  Sarai Akil police circle of this Uttar Pradesh district.

The 22-year-old victim was found lying injured in the fields in a critical situation and has subsequently been taken to the hospital. The police have launched a manhunt for the accused.

The woman was identified as a citizen of a community in the same region based on documentation found in her bag. Upon learning about the situation, the woman's relatives also arrived. Police were notified by the woman's relatives that she and her boyfriend had left their home on Wednesday night along with some cash, jewellery, and clothing.
The woman who was injured revealed to the authorities that she was seeing the young man who had promised her marriage and requested her to leave her house with money and possessions.

However, the youth took her to the deserted spot in the fields and stabbed her. After that, he took off with the money and jewellery.

An FIR has been filed against the culprit, according to Sarai Akil police station SHO Sunil Kumar Singh, and efforts are being made to find and apprehend him.
