Ghaziabad, On Thursday, Ghaziabad Police arrested the husband of Nishara, who was found dead with bullet injury at her house in Naveej Kunj colony here.

Nishara was found shot dead by one of her husband's relative. Her husband Usman had claimed that four robbers shot her dead when she resisted their loot bid.

Superintendent of Police (rural) Rakesh Pandey said, police found many shortcomings during investigation in his story and arrested Usman.

Usman killed Nishara, who was his fifth wife, suspecting her character, Pandey said, while her parents alleged that Usman killed their daughter for dowry.

An FIR under section 304B (dowry death) has been registered against Usman, who has been sent to jail, the SP said.
