The designer Vikram Phadnis is making his directorial debut with Marathi film 'Hrudayantar' in which to do a cameo, he approached his close friend Maniesh Paul. Maniesh too is all set to make his debut in the Marathi film with this film.
Maniesh has shot some of its part says, “Vikram is a dear friend of mine. So when he approached me for his debut directorial and said he wants me for a cameo, I first said I am doing it and then asked him what it was about! And when I heard it, I found the script amazing.”
He added, “When I went on the sets, I first mingled and interacted with the kids. It was their lunch time so I shared their food. I ate dosa, idli, etc, which my diet doesn’t permit, but anything for kids. I love the smile on their faces.“Since I am playing myself, I won’t be speaking Marathi, but I have always been fascinated with the language. It’s 11 years since I came to Mumbai and I can understand it a bit. I know a couple of lines like ‘mala mhaiti nahi’ (I don’t know) ‘samor bagh’ (look ahead) etc."
Maniesh on changing his spell of name says, “I don’t know yet, but I did it because somebody suggested it. Considering how the ‘e’conomy is changing, maybe next year things will change for me too."
