Imphal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has given another blow to its ally Chirag Paswan. In Manipur, LJP's only MLA Karam Shyam has joined the BJP on Thursday. The former minister joined the BJP party in the presence of CM N Biren Singh at a function at Lilong Chajing Mairenkhong in Imphal West district.
CM Biren Singh expressed confidence that the BJP will return to power with Shyam's help in next year's assembly elections with the help of Shyam. CM Biren Singh tweeted, "Today, In Lilong Chajing, Karam Shyam attended a felicitation ceremony to join the BJP. He is a great-thinking leader. The BJP and I can never forget his contribution to give a stable and progressive government in Manipur.''
Earlier, Shyam was also felicitated at a function at the state headquarters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Party state unit president A Sharda Devi and national spokesperson Sambit Patra were present at the function.
