New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started his address on the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on All India Radio at 11 am today. Like every month, for this time's programme, Prime Minister Modi had sought his suggestions and complaints from the general public. People have presented their complaints and suggestions through social media in huge statistics. Prime Minister Modi said that India is taking big steps towards economic progress. There was a time when the exports from India used to be 100 billion, sometimes 150 billion, sometimes 200 billion. India has now reached $400 billion. At the same time, the Prime Minister said that the country takes great steps when there are resolutions bigger than dreams. When there is a sincere effort for resolutions day and night, those resolutions are also proven and you see, the same thing happens in a person's life. PM Modi said that the first consignment of millets coarse grains originating in Himachal, Uttarakhand was exported to Denmark. Krishna in Andhra Pradesh and Banganapalli and Subarnarekha mangoes in Chittoor districts were exported to South Korea. The Prime Minister said that new products from every nook and corner of the country are now going abroad. Be it the leather products of Hailakandi in Assam or the handlooms of Osmanabad, the fruits and vegetables of Bijapur or the black rice of Chandauli, all the exports are increasing.

Elaborating further, Prime Minister Modi said that this list is very long and the longer the list is, the bigger the strength of 'Make in India.' As much as great is India's strength and the basis of strength. Our farmers, our engineers, our small entrepreneurs, our MSME sector, the people of a lot of different businesses, all these are our true strengths. He said that in the last year, through the GeM portal, the government has purchased goods worth more than one lakh crore rupees. About 1.5 lakh small entrepreneurs, small shopkeepers from every nook and corner of the country have sold their goods directly to the government. He said that now even the smallest shopkeeper can sell his goods to the government on the GeM website. This is the new India. It not only dreams big but also shows the courage to reach that goal. On the basis of this courage, all of us Indians will definitely fulfil the dream of a self-reliant India together.

Prime Minister Modi said that you must have seen Baba Shivanand Ji in the recent Padma Samman programme. Everyone like me must have been surprised to see the agility of the 126-year-old and I saw, in the blink of an eye, he began to bow down in Nandi mudra. I also bowed down to Baba Shivanandji and bowed down again and again. The Prime Minister said that both the age of 126 and the fitness of Baba Shivanand are the topic of discussion in the country today. I have seen comments of many people on social media that Baba Shivanand is more fit than four times his age. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi said that the market of the AYUSH industry is also continuously getting bigger. Six years ago, the market for medicines related to Ayurveda was around 22 thousand crore rupees. Today, the Ayush manufacturing industry is reaching around one lakh forty thousand crore rupees.
