The symptoms of the Marburg virus found in Equatorial Guinea are similar to the Ebola virus and people have been infected in large numbers. Common symptoms of the Marburg virus are fever and chest pain. It is so dangerous that if the treatment is not received on time, the patient can also die.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning after getting the Marburg virus and has instructed people to be careful. According to the World Health Organisation's statement, advance teams have been deployed in the affected districts for contact tracing, isolation of infected people, and treatment and care of those showing symptoms of the disease. Marburg virus is very dangerous and the death rate after its infection can go up to 88 percent. Regional Director of the World Health Organization Dr. Matshidiso Moeti told that the infection of the Marburg virus spreads rapidly. To stop the spread of the virus, the World Health Organization has deployed health emergency experts, infection control teams, labs, and communication support systems.
