Srinagar: After the beginning of Navratri, there has been a huge increase in the number of devotees coming to visit Mata Vaishno Devi. In the first three Navratras, more than one lakh devotees reached Katra, and bowed their heads at the feet of the mother. Due to this, the faces of the traders of Katra have also blossomed. Due to the instructions issued by the government after the crisis period of Corona epidemic, the number of frequent travelers in Dharmanagari was less.

This situation has remained for the last two years, but this time with the beginning of Chaitra Navratri, the number of devotees has increased. Traders Rakesh Sharma, Suraj Thapa, Karan Singh, Davendra Sharma, Raju Goswami, Karnail Singh, etc. say that there was an increase in travel only on 31 December 2021 after the corona epidemic. But then the yatra was affected due to the stampede in the building. Since then, very few devotees were reaching Katra continuously. He said that since that incident, the number of devotees in Navratri has increased. The work of the traders of the town has been affected for two consecutive years due to Corona virus. Now everything seems to be going well with the blessings of the mother.

According to the information received from the registration room, on the first Navratri, including online, more than 37 thousand devotees attended Mata's court. At the same time, in the second Navratri, 33720 devotees got themselves registered and left for the building. On the third Navratri on Monday, till 2 pm on Monday, more than 20 thousand devotees had got themselves registered. By 7 pm, this figure had crossed 28 thousand. According to this, in just three days, more than one lakh devotees have reached Katra and cheered the mother.
