Lucknow: Farmers' protest on delhi borders against three new agricultural laws brought by the Central government has been going on for a long time. On the completion of six months of the agitation, many have declared May 26 as a nationwide 'Protest Day'. The 'Varodh the Vis', a countrywide farmer's country, has been supported by several political parties including Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Samajwadi Party (SP).

Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former CM Mayawati has also supported the protest demanding withdrawal of three agricultural laws. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has exhorted the Central government to hold talks with farmers agitating against new agricultural laws and appealed to them to solve their problem. The farmers' agitation against the new agricultural laws is completing six months on Wednesday, May 26.

BSP chief Mayawati tweeted on Tuesday, "Farmers in the country are constantly agitating even during this extreme calamity of corona epidemic demanding withdrawal of three new agricultural laws. On the completion of six months of the agitation, BSP supports their nationwide 'Protest Day' tomorrow, May 26. The Centre also needs to be sensitive to them".
