Due to having financial crises, Saloni Maurya, who studies under the Science stream in St Anjani's Public School on a scholarship, has scored 97 per cent in science.

Saloni is the daughter of a daily wage earner of Lucknow.

Saloni said,"I will remain indebted to my school for it has given me all possible support to create a great life and has taken care of many of my financial burdens by waiving off fees."

Maurya has also cleared Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exam.

"I want to be an IAS officer after pursuing engineering from one of the IITs," she further added.
