Srinagar: The pain of People's Democratic Party (PDP) supremo and former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti has once again spilt over to terrorists. As usual, this time too, she has argued in the rescue of terrorists. Mehbooba has expressed concern over the killing of two locals during an encounter between security forces and militants in the Haiderpora area of Srinagar on Tuesday (November 16).

 

According to media reports, she said, "Locals (owners and a doctor) have been killed in the Haiderpora encounter. In this way, it is wrong to take people into encounters as shields. The hearts of the people of Jammu and Kashmir are getting more and more distant from us, people are getting angrier, which is worsening the situation instead of improving.'' On the other hand, On the issue, Lt Gen DP Pandey, GOC, Chinar Corps said, "According to police, a doctor was killed in firing by terrorists during an encounter in Haiderpora, Srinagar on Monday. Such people should be aware of terrorist activities being carried out by white-collar terrorists.''

 

Meanwhile, Kashmir Police said in a statement that police, 2RR and CRPF had launched a joint operation and cordoned off the militants after receiving information that terrorists were hiding in an illegal call centre in a private building in Haiderpora, Srinagar. According to reports, four persons including a Pakistani terrorist and his local aide were killed in the encounter. The deceased include the landlord and a doctor who have been described by the police as an associate of the terrorist. However, his family members have dismissed the police charge.
