Meta to Launch a New Courseware against Twitter

New Delhi:- Days after Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced a temporary cap on the number of posts users can view on the social media site, Meta platforms plans to launch a microblogging app, Threads.

Instagram's text-based conversation app, Threads, is set to launch on Thursday, allowing users to follow the accounts they follow on the photo-sharing platform and use the same username as the one listed on Apple's App Store. be able to maintain.

The release comes after Twitter announced a number of restrictions on the app, including requiring authentication to use TweetDeck.

Mr. Musk's recent announcement about fighting data scraping has sparked a backlash from Twitter users, and advertising experts said it would undermine new CEO Linda Yaccarino, who took office last month.  

Meta did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on a similar Google Play store launch.

Meanwhile, Twitter-like platforms such as Bluesky and Mastodon saw user and activity spikes shortly after Musk announced the restrictions. Bluesky, which was launched by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey and is currently in beta, said it was suspending new signups after experiencing "record traffic" on Saturday. Mastodon's active user base increased by 110,000 that day, according to Mastodon founder and CEO Eugen Roshko.

The Meta is about to launch its new Threads app as Twitter limits the users to read only a certain amount of tweets according to the consequences faced before.

The new Treads app will be launched as Instagram’s text-based conversation app which will allow the users to follow the accounts that they follow on the photo-sharing platform.
