New Delhi: There is good news for the people suffering from humidity and heat. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi-NCR may receive heavy rains on 23 and 24 September. Senior scientist of the meteorological ministry, Rajendra Kumar Gennamani, said that Delhi, NCR, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh may receive good rains on 23 September. He said that during the monsoon season, India received 7 percent more rainfall, but northwest India received 15 percent less rainfall than normal.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 37.3 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 28 degree Celsius on Sunday in the capital. The public was troubled since morning by the scorching sun and humidity. In the last 24 hours, the humidity level in the air was recorded from 47 to 86 percent. According to Skymet Weather chief scientist Mahesh Palawat, there is a possibility of light rain in the early days of this week. Due to which people can get relief from heat to some extent. There is no possibility of rain in the capital till further western disturbances are formed. By the end of this month, the sun is witnessing strong attitude in the capital.

At the same time, in the other areas of the capital, the maximum in Palam, temperature 36.8 degrees Celsius and minimum, temperature 28.3 degrees Celsius, maximum in Lodhi Road, temperature 37. 8 degrees Celsius, temperature 27.2 degrees Celsius, maximum in Ridge area, temperature 36.7 degree Celsius and minimum, temperature 27.2 degree Celsius, Aya Nagar recorded maximum, temperature 37.4 degree Celsius and minimum, temperature 26 degree Celsius.
