New Delhi: A fighter plane of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed on Sunday during a routine mission from Jodhpur in Rajasthan . Police have reached the spot. Inspector general of Police confirmed that the pilot is safe.

According to the reports, The MiG 27 UPG aircraft crashed in the morning. It was on a routine mission from Jodhpur has crashed in Godana near Sheoganj in Sirohi.

According to officials, "At around 11:45 am today, a MiG-27 UPG aircraft which got airborne from Utarlai Air Force base experienced engine problems leading to a crash, at about 120 kms south of Jodhpur. However, the pilot ejected safely." officials further added that "A court of inquiry will investigate the cause of the accident,"
