Migrant worker from Madhya Pradesh dies near Thane after 60km walk on empty stomach

The duration of the lockdown was extended in view of Corona's growing crisis. Because of this, whatever was there is stuck there. In such a situation, Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced on April 24 to bring migrant laborers in Madhya Pradesh. Even before that, Motilal Sahu, a laborer who moved from Navi Mumbai to Sidhi village in Madhya Pradesh, has died in Thane, Maharashtra. The laborer went on an empty stomach without food and water. Now the family has collected Rs 35,000 to bring his dead body. The ambulance carrying the body of 38-year-old Motilal Sahu passed through Bhopal on Saturday afternoon. The distance of his village from here is 700 kilometers. It is also being told that Motilal Sahu left for his house 1400 km on an empty stomach. Sahu is survived by his wife and 3 daughters. Motilal Sahu used to work as a house painter in Navi Mumbai, he was stuck there due to the lockdown.

In fact, after the money and food was over, Motilal walked on foot from Mumbai with a team of 50 workers. In this group of migrant laborers, 9 were from Madhya Pradesh. These people stayed in Mumbai till the first lockdown, but after the announcement for the second time, their difficulties increased.

SI Kamalakar Mumbai of Kalyan Police Station has said that he had left Nerul at 2:30 pm on 22 April. Some workers had mobile phones, with the help of GPS these people were moving forward. Around 8 am, these people reached Khadavali village, where they stayed for hours. Motilal Sahu fell at 5 in the evening. After this, his colleagues called 108 ambulances. After Motilal's fall, the people moving along moved forward. But Suresh Sahu stayed there, who is from his neighboring village.
