Dehradun: Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt will visit Pithoragarh today i.e. MP Ajay Tamta and Director General of Border Roads Organisation Lt Gen Rajiv Chaudhary will also be present during the visit. Earlier on Tuesday, Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt held intensive talks with Director General Border Roads Organisation at his office in South Block on the damage caused on Pithoragarh-Tawaghat road.

Director-General Seema Sadak assured them that BRO would provide all possible assistance in the border area. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had inspected the disaster affected village Jumma on Tuesday. He announced four lakh rupees each to the families of those who died in the disaster and one lakh rupees each from the CM Relief Fund.
