Varanasi: Before PM Modi's visit in Kashi, some mischievous elements have thrown ink on the statue of former PM Rajiv Gandhi. Congress workers have raised strong objection to this act of anti-social elements. They have demanded immediate arrest of such mischievous elements. Actually, the statue of former PM Rajiv Gandhi is installed at the Madagin Crossroads of Varanasi. At night, some mischievous elements put a soot vessel on the idol.

The Congress workers started demanding action against the accused. Many Congress workers complained to the police and sought to identify and arrest the accused. In this case, Uttar Pradesh Congress unit president Ajay Kumar Lallu also tweeted. He wrote that 'Former Prime Minister Late. Rajiv Gandhi ji lost his life for the country. This act, along with his statue in Benares, is sad and condemnable. There is an appeal to the government to rein in such anarchic elements. Congress party worker is not going to tolerate such acts. '

After this, Congress workers cleaned the statue. After this, the idol was purified with milk. Congressmen also garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi. At the same time, Congress leader Raghavendra Choubey has submitted a memorandum to the police administration to investigate the matter within 48 hours and apprehend the culprits. He said that if action is not taken on the chaotic elements in such a time, then the Congress party will protest.
