Under this, she worked to spread awareness in 20 villages. her initiative was called Projet Shakti. Manushi says, "She has been deeply impressed by the story of Rita Faria, the first Indian and first Asian Miss World in 1966. Rita was also a final year medical student when she won the title. ''

However, when Manushi was first asked about appearing in films, she said, "I will decide about Bollywood when the right time comes. Manushi wanted to work with Aamir Khan but now you are going to see Manushi with Akshay Kumar in the film Prithviraj Chauhan.
