Kolkata: News has been received about Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy's having reached Delhi late on Monday night. Earlier, his son Shubhranshu Roy had claimed that his father was missing and had left for Delhi. A complaint was also lodged by the family with the airport police station regarding this.

According to media reports, Mukul Roy left for Delhi on an Indigo flight (6E-898) on Monday evening. The flight was to land in Delhi at 9:55 p.m. on Monday night itself. But there is no trace of them. At the same time, police sources said that no formal complaint has been received so far. Roy, who had been ill for a long time after the death of his wife, was recently admitted to the hospital in February.

After the BJP lost the elections in West Bengal, party leader Mukul Roy and his son Shubhranshu joined the Trinamool Congress. He had joined TMC in the presence of Mamta Banerjee and MP Abhishek Banerjee. When Mukul Roy joined the Trinamool Congress, Mamta said that there was a lot of exploitation in the BJP. It is difficult for people to live there. The BJP is not a party of common people. Mamta said that Mukul is the boy of the house. He is back. I have no differences with Mukul. Chief Minister Mamata had said that those who have betrayed the Trinamool Congress will not be accepted into the party. Others can come to the party.
