In the meanwhile, Sean Abbott, Daniel Sams, and Nathan Ellis, all-rounders, took the place of the injured trio for the trip to India. Tim David might finally have a chance to don the national colours as a result of Stoinis' absence. The three Twenty20 Internationals against Australia and India are set for September 20, 23, and 25, respectively, in Mohali, Nagpur, and Hyderabad.

Starc, Stoinis, and Marsh are anticipated to be healthy in time for Australia's home T20 World Cup campaign. Australia just defeated Zimbabwe at home 2-1 despite losing the third and decisive game of the series.
