New Delhi: As Narendra Modi prepares to take his oath of office, potential ministers of his new cabinet are being notified, though official announcements have yet to be made. According to sources, the following leaders are expected to join the cabinet: BJP's Piyush Goyal, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Jyotiraditya Scindia; JDS's Kumaraswamy; HAM's Jitan Ram Manjhi; RLD's Jayant Chaudhary; LJP (R)'s Chirag Paswan; JDU's Ramnath Thakur; and Apna Dal's Anupriya Patel.

Chirag Paswan's LJP (R) contested five seats in Bihar, winning all, with Paswan himself securing Hajipur. Nitin Gadkari, who has served as a minister in Modi's government twice, won his seat from Nagpur. JDU's Ramnath Thakur is a Rajya Sabha member. Anupriya Patel's Apna Dal (Sonelal) won one of two contested seats, with Patel securing her position. Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM (Secular) won the sole NDA seat from Gaya. Jayant Chaudhary's RLD won both contested seats, with Chaudhary serving as a Rajya Sabha MP.

The TDP has announced its ministerial candidates, with Jaidev Galla stating that three-time MP Ram Mohan Naidu will be a cabinet minister and P Chandrashekhar Pemmasani a minister of state in Modi's new cabinet.

Before the swearing-in, Modi will meet with his new cabinet members at his residence on 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. Preparations for the ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan are complete. Security will be heightened in Delhi, with a no-flying zone in place and extensive deployment of police, paramilitary forces, and intelligence officials. The event will begin with guest arrivals at 5 pm, and the oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to start at 7:15 pm.
