Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman shared photos of women ministers on her Twitter handle. The photo showed Lok Sabha MP from Surat in Gujarat Darshan Jardosh wearing an 'Ulta pallu' blue and chaitya saree with a brown and golden horologe. She had Pratima Bhowmik who chose a normal look wearing a yellow saree with a red border. Thereafter, Shobha Karandlaje wore a silk saree, which was grey with a pink border.
On the other hand, Smriti Irani was seen with a floral pattern and a bronze boundary in a beautiful embroidered Chanderi handloom saree. On National Handloom Day last year, Irani had appealed to the people to promote 'Vocal for Local' and urged everyone to choose clothes made from local brands. Dr Bharti Praveen Pawar wore a plain cream coloured saree with pendants. Meenakshi Lekhi looked pretty in a pink saree with a blue border with embroidery.
