You may recall a time when there was a news item that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to pay Rs 15 lakh to everyone's account and now it has happened once again. There are reports that the Modi government is depositing Rs 15 lakh in people's accounts and now there are long queues of people to open accounts outside the bank. The news is currently being reported from Kerala, which is spreading on social media. People are treating this fake news spread on social media as true and have lined up in large numbers to open accounts outside the Postal Bank.

The queues that are standing outside the bank say that the government is planning to fulfill the Rs 15 lakh promise made by the Prime Minister. Thousands of people wage daily in the tea gardens of Munnar, a tourist destination in Kerala, and as soon as the news came, they left work and gathered outside the Munnar Post Office to open their accounts. There was a rumour on social media that the central government was planning to give Rs 15 lakh to anyone who had a postal bank account and then lined up outside banks.

There are reports that more than 1050 new accounts were opened in the last three days at Munnar's post office and a similar crowd was seen at the Devikulam RDO office earlier, when social media messages claimed that the government was planning to provide land for the homeless.
