According to the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the export policy of onions has been revised free till further orders. Therefore, the export of all varieties of onions is banned with immediate effect. "

However, due to Navratri, there is definitely some decrease in onion prices in the markets. Onion supply has been badly affected due to heavy monsoon rains in major onion producing states, due to which there has been a tremendous jump in its prices. According to the Meteorological Department, major onion producing areas, especially Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh have received heavy rains in the last two days.

At the same time, traders say that onion storage is being sold in most parts of the country. Kharif or summer crop will come in the market from November. Let us tell you that to control the price of onion, the central government had last week set its minimum export price at $ 850 per tonne so that the ban on exports does not reduce the supply of onion in the country's markets.
