Modi government gives orders of 83 crore syringes for corona vaccination

New Delhi: Coronavirus is going to get relief in the country soon. Modi government can start a vaccination campaign after a few days. For this, the central and state governments are working on a war footing. The government has placed an order for syringes used in vaccination. While giving information on Thursday, the Health Ministry has said that the government has placed an order for the purchase of 83 crore syringes.

According to the statement, bids have also been invited for 35 million more additional syringes and 36,433 ventilators have been distributed in government hospitals across the country in the last nine months, costing between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. This cost was Rs 15 lakh in February-March. The ministry further stated that it is important because till the time of the country's independence, there were about 16,000 ventilators in all public health facilities in the country, but in less than 12 months supply of 36,433 'Make in India' ventilators.''

The government has also stated that at the time of the pandemic in the country, almost all ventilators, PPE kits and N-95 masks were imported and that there were no standard instructions for these products that are necessary for the fight against the pandemic. He said, "The central government identified the challenges faced by the early stages of the epidemic and ensured more than adequate availability and supply of essential medical items."
