That is, now companies will not be obliged to give full salary to employees during lockdown. The move has certainly brought some relief to companies and industry, but the employed people have suffered a big setback.

It is noteworthy that in the guideline issued on March 29, just a few days after the lockdown was implemented, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla had told all companies and other employers that even if the establishment remains closed, even after completion of the month without any deduction to all the employees Let's pay full salary. Lockdown has been declared in the entire country since March 25 to prevent the corona epidemic. Now lockdown-4 has come into force from 18 May.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had also directed that strict action be taken against those landlords who are pressurizing the non-paying students or migrant workers to vacate the house during the lockdown. Now the apex court had said in one of its orders on Friday that the government should not take any kind of punitive action against companies who could not pay their full salary during the lockdown. This order of the government was challenged by the Karnataka company Ficus Packs Pvt Ltd, on which the court gave this order.
