Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a BJP rally in Telangana ahead of the announcement of the Lok Sabha election schedule. He will speak at Nagarkurnool on Saturday and will also hold another rally at Jagtial on March 18, as per the Telangana BJP. Previously, Modi conducted a roadshow in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency.
During his recent visit to Sangareddy, about 60 km from Hyderabad, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore. At a BJP rally in Sangareddy, Modi criticized the Congress, accusing them of being hesitant to promote young leaders. He also targeted "dynastic parties," alleging they were attacking him because he was exposing their corruption.
The BJP aims to make significant electoral gains in southern states, including Telangana, where it won four out of 17 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 general elections. The party plans to contest independently in Telangana and hopes to increase its seat count.
The Election Commission is scheduled to announce the Lok Sabha election schedule on Saturday.
